Yes, absolutely. If they’re the right kind. It can change their whole life. Mean the difference in making it in life, or not. Children always need their father. If they don’t have one and they are somehow able to have the privilege of acquiring a “Big Brother”, that means everything in the world to a kid. Even grandparents are priceless.

I believed that was true. When my son was born and I divorced his sick father, I knew that above all things he needed a male role model. I REALLY messed that one up. My ex (son's stepfather) was abusive. Now my son is not always respectful toward his wife and may be abusive....I don't know for certain. But I worry.
