I didn't misbehave much, but when I did (and was usually me and my "brother" getting into it), they never turned the car around. Nope, the car usually got pulled over and we were told to can it or we'd get our britches dusted off😁

No. But she threatened to do that once when taking me to school. I said please do, I'm okay with that. She never said it again.

@NankerPhelge packed us for a weekend out of town, on the "way to the airport" they declared we were fighting too much to go to Disneyland, that we blew it. Turned car around, went home for a bit, then drove 2.5 hrs to the cabin instead. As kids we cried and cried and it stuck with me for YEARS, as an adult I look back and wow that was abuse.
My parents were pretty good people, treated us well, we wanted for nothing for the most part ... but doing that was so messed up.
