I remember someone telling me this back in the 1990s. Never bought into the idea, but more people are each day. If the outcome is predetermined, then shouldn't betting on football be illegal?

I’ve heard that the games are thrown and heard it a couple years a go. A good way to launder money is to let certain people in on the outcome before it happens so they can bet ludicrous amounts of money on the game and clean up.

There's this theory going around that sports are scripted, what team wins is predetermined. That doesn't make sense to me but maybe you've heard of this.

I think most major leagues view themselves similarly. The local hockey team is owned by an "entertainment group".
