No dude let's say the speed of rotation at the equator is 1000 mph or 46 metre/sec. then you and everything else at the same point is moving at that speed. You jump vertically and your forward velocity is still 46 m/s not zero , so you do not land any distance away. (Conservation of momentum. look it up)
According to you a helicopter can just take off and hover and wait for the destination west of him to come by!
