No I don't. The Bible says that stuff is of the devil ei stay far away from it.

From one perspective, your kind of letting chance rewrite your beliefs of your self based on generalized statements that are made for anyone to relate to.
From another perspective, your connecting to a spiritual world or being to guide you in your curiosity of yourself.
From my perspective, your giving yourself permission to rewrite your own beliefs or thoughts based on how much faith you put behind each statement read and what you choose to relate to yourself. With the right amount of understanding it can be a tool utilized to start a personal journey.

@Boeing well because its so general you can kind of create the meaning behind it. I guess it depends on your intentions.
Boeing · 36-40
@GuyWithOpinions absolutely does. Sometimes, when they go towards the dark side, ie saying "what these people are thinking about you" then I need to pause and think if it is the moment right and I can take the information in a way that it will help me resolve something, or is it that I am perpetuating some kind of hatred cycle.
Maneuvers.

@Boeing i think that helped me realize something.

When I was in college, and even later in life, I used to READ Tarot cards. I considered it more of a parlor trick, or a way to be interesting. Unfortunately, I read the cards for my former daughter-in-law and the last card was the Lightning Struck Tower...so I said, no, no, that can't be right...and I insisted on doing them again for her...and the last card came up as DEATH. She and my son were freaked out, and they left my house quickly. The way the cards fell was certainly unintentional on my part.
It was very scary and very weird....and as it turned out, she was cheating on my son with another man and got pregnant BY the other man, and then she left my son and got a divorce.
But here is what I LEARNED later. Messing around with the Tarot, or with ANY tools of the supernatural opens doors that you MIGHT not be able to close.
I wasn't overtly religious in those days, but I BECAME religious, years later...and then I threw those cards away, and SLAMMED that door shut!

They’ve never really moved me. My son in law is amazing at reading tarot cards.
RebelRaven · 51-55, F
I do, I take them with a grain of salt, some seem on the right track and some are out in left field. I also started listen my moon sign ones too.
Boeing · 36-40
@RebelRaven what does the one about the moon sign refer to ?

I used to have many decks and did readings for people, but I haven't done it for a long time now.

I was gifted one years ago that I didn’t want and I didn’t believe at the time that any were legit- that guy was unreal. He was unbelievably accurate and everything he said would happen in the future did.
I also accepted a free one b/c my gut told me she was not legit. She told me I was suicidal and tried to kill myself several times- I never ever have been suicidal and certainly didn’t try to kill myself ever 😒 I made her drop all of her cards when I asked her if she saw things like I do in dreams 😂 She was quite nervous.

I don't believe in them having literal predictive or advisory powers, but they are a good tool to think about your life from a different perspective and imagine different possible futures. They are fun and useful as inspiration and guidance for self reflection.

@NerdyPotato Tarots is an actual game that is popular in Belgium and France. What each card means in "fortune telling" is inconsistent and deliberately vague.
Boeing · 36-40
@NerdyPotato I love the way you explained that, I too use them like that.
Though I do feel and believe too that this type of work involve sometimes strange type of energies, for a better way of explaining it.

I don't think they have any divination ability whatsoever, but i think they can be useful tools for thinking about and reframimg parts of your life and personality in ways you would not have otherwise. It's survived because the archetypes in the cards are universally relatable and easy to find meaning in.

@BlueSkyKing yeah exactly, said by an artist who provoked the limits of science utilizing his imagination. He can say such things, from the depth of his experimentations and knowledge, but I am not talking to Isaac now, I am talking to you.
Go read about quantum.

@Boeing Link up the association with fortune tellers. Quantum physics isn’t something that belongs in the Fun and Games section.

@BlueSkyKing Oh my, you're so right! 🫠 You so knowledgeable!

I don't give em major significance although I see the appeal. I do believe in the idea of synchronicity, where lil pockets of information, maybe through tarot or through life in general can pop up that remind you of a greater perspective. I definitely wouldn't use a reading to make any significant decisions
Never had a reading 🙆♂
