Do you hold you sense of humor back with people you don't think will get it

All the time

My humor is laced with puns and other plays on words, and for that I've learned I need to "know the room" better before I let fly some of my quips.

Additionally, my husband, whose favorite humor is self-deprecating humor, has found from experience that with men--and especially those who regard manliness as the sine qua non of existence--his humor is met with "not getting it," and moreover, judgment for his being "soft," undeserving of respect for his perceived failings, for not being a real man.

Nope! I let it fly like a bird and if they do not like my droppings then they can wear a hat or use and umbrella next time they see me!

Yeah. A lot of SWers don't appreciate profound wit and sophisticated humor. A lot of them are Jerry Lewis fans. Some of them even look like him. Even some of the men.

I don’t normally. If I’m like at work? Then yes. Any other situation I can just walk away from if they don’t like it.

On occasion. I sometimes can have a very dark or even morbid sense of humor I know a lot of people will absolutely not appreciate.

Also I'm super goofy about 85% of the time and most people here just want to challenge someone and argue and I'm just not about that🙈you have to catch me on the wrong day (or the right one)

In rl yes. On SW since the posts and replies are open to all across the world, I just say what I think is amusing and some get it and some don't. What can you do? 🤷‍♂

yes.. so many laughs and "smart" remarks i keep to myself so as not to offend people 😒
