What happened to good old-fashioned censorship?

Well, there's nothing copulatory about it, but it's probably, though pointlessly, thought a useful euphemism.
I think the word "redacting" is silly - even if politicians won't use "censoring", journalists reporting them should.
Where did even come from? It seems a very recent invention, probably by someone with a fancy non-title like "Chief Communications Officer".

It's the latest "Protect the rich" theme being pushed by the Right. Make America Corrupt Again. There seems to be no end to what they will do.
