An interesting thought I had today
Some context first.
I work in a strange building. It’s over a century old and very pretty, surrounded by beautiful trees and plants, no obvious fences or anything, solid red brick.
But it’s also a maximum security facility with internal and external sally ports, bars everywhere, badge in badge out, etc…
To me it’s normal I’m here every day.
But to others, not so much probably.
So today my coworker ordered door dash. When the driver showed up there were two inmates in full restraints being escorted to a transport van and another guy actively being shackled by an officer while we’re all making jokes with him and laughing, the officer is cracking up too while putting his restraints on
This is our normal but I can only imagine what that poor dasher must be thinking 🤣
