Went to the States and got called M’am. Everywhere!

Man it makes a woman feel old hearing that when she’s not used to it.

I don’t think anyone in Canada has ever called me m’am

@Jenny1234 wow, never heard they said that. Usually they're pretty east coast abrupt.

@SW-User yeah but so is "how are you" and "have a nice day"

But the. Again it only seems that way. When it is customary for your geographic area it then becomes rude not to
SW-User
@Pretzel true that. I don't know what we say on a regular basis but we do greet people. Really depends on the area and culture.

@SW-User yeah. I don't travel a great deal but I suspect it would be good to get a feel for customs where you are traveling to.

I remember seeing a video years ago about someone asking about another person's family and in that culture it is considered intrusive and rude. And another person was eating with their left hand and that was considered offensive

We humans are a strange species. It's why I don't believe aliens would land here. They are looking for intelligent life.

@Pretzel I'm talking about in the US lol but even within the multi cultural communities there's different ways of greeting people and how you interact. It's interesting really. We all have our ways.

@SW-User a h yeah. Regional differences are akin to going to a different country.

@Pretzel lol it can be fun
