Went to the States and got called M’am. Everywhere!

Man it makes a woman feel old hearing that when she’s not used to it.

I don’t think anyone in Canada has ever called me m’am

Where in the US were you?

I know the South says Ma'am a lot as a sign of respect. Another area stores might do it but I don't think they do it outside of stores.

@sstronaut this time I was in PA but it seems that everywhere in the US I go I get called that dreaded “m’am”

@Jenny1234 yeah I've gotten death glares when I've accidentally said it... But my aunt absolutely droved it into me as a sign of respect.
