My temperament has noticeably mellowed so much compared to a few years back.

The silly side. I was basically ADHD personified.

I used to be so animated and now I'm pretty much a dry and sarcastic housewife with occasional bursts of energy of a former self. BRING THE WHIMSY BACK😭

I’m going to take you on a whimsy weekend and we’ll just do quirky girl stuff.
@Straylight I'm going on a lil trip this weekend anyway so I'll channel it then
Just sporadic moments to keep the bleughness at bay lol

It’s the 30s getting near girl
@Younameit Maybe. I know people almost 40 with their inner child still in tact. Those not afraid to look silly and dumb and will look a whole mess without caring. But I find processing your life experience comes with age so maybe these years are for that. I'd like to think the blueprint is still there to fall back on but we'll see.

@HijabaDabbaDoo I feel the same way. But at this age if I try to be my silly self , people just think I’m weird . There’s no place for authenticity anymore; well, at least in the professional world.
Or even in general.
Being a woman doesn’t help. Men can get away with being their silly selves, and making jokes etc. , they’re always the “ funny guy”. But as a woman people just assume I’m weird.
My real life persona is very closed off , I used to be silly and carefree, but life changed me.
Now I’m just a sad bish, very jaded and almost nihilistic. I don’t see the world how I used to see it in my 20s, unfortunately.
You need new good stimuli. It will come back for sure. It's always there. I thought the same thing about me, but I explored and found it back . It comes back.

I’m also stuck between measuring my progression and pining for who I was in my twenties.

Young me was the life and soul of the party, great with women - but a bit of a twat to them, too trusting and terrible with money.

It's called getting old

Sometimes I think the same thing & then I start saying stupid shit again 🤷
@ChiefJustWalks oh yeah, I'm not above the stupid shit. Don't get it twisted lmao. Just takes more to pull it out of me now
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@HijabaDabbaDoo oh yeah I think I get that. I'm kinda glad about it though. Sometimes when I'm too goofy I feel immature & that makes me self conscious about it but I can't help it so 🤷
BM has been swearing for years that I have ADHD lol
