What was your most expensive hobby?

Wrong answers only.
Lanyx · 41-45, M
Taking random drives of around 200 to 300km (around 150mi), just for the drive of it. Not really stopping, not really sight-seeing on foot, just enjoying the country lanes of south-western Poland.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@Lanyx I bet that's beautiful
Lanyx · 41-45, M
@Starcrossed Yup, it is. I got some foothills that are about 30 minutes drive, so it is worth it.

I enjoy competing with others to see how far we can drive our automobiles without ever putting oil in them.
justanotherone · 51-55, M
@DrWatson extreme sport 😀
@DrWatson i had a friend in high school who told me, proudly, that he found out you can actually drive a long way without any oil. He made it sound like seizing his engine was worth the discovery.
Lol... Genuine ones...that I gift myself 😋

I take long drives. Just for kicks. Guzzle fuel. Drink coffee at roadside Starbucks. Eat out. And drive some more.

Target team pistol and Trap shooting and doing my own reloading. The change in shot from lead started the price hikes and eventually all materials, shot wads, powder, primers and bullets all became too expensive. I actually scrapped my reloading machines rather then sell them because I didn't want them to possibly end up in the wrong hands.

Buying scissors and hairbrushes. I'm not sure where they all go thanks to my family but someday when I gather my collection all in one place, it should be pretty epic.

Honestly, I would say it’s my penpals. I can spend $40+ a month on that in postage. Doesn’t even include my stationery And little trinkets and things that I put in the envelopes with my letters

Amateur Lapidary. Involves buying all the machines, buying sintered diamond bits, diamond dust sandpaper, coolants, and buying all the rough. Massively expensive hobby.
