They just discovered my generations “whatever “ but stole it and claimed it as their own. Now they say “cool story bro “ lol

Well, to be fair, we did hand them 2020's tech. and said "You too can be the star of your own show" while spoonfeeding them Facebook reels and the likes of Tik-Tok and Instagram.

Just wait until they discover vinyl. Video tapes. Pop rocks and Walkman's. It's gonna blow their mind !

Frequently annoyed by hearing on TikTok “did you know that if you mix such and such ingredients you get…”
Yes, it’s called a recipe. My mum and her mum had books full of these things.

I'm gen Z but none of those things impress me. Granted I'm an older one
I actually get where they are coming from as a Xillenial.

They have never experienced what it is like to be offline and unreachable in their entire lives.

Constantly aware that their entire generation is "Star Wars kid". Every embarassing or cringe moment leaked online in 4k. So feeling they need to curate every moment of their lives for public consumption just in case.

That sounds exhausting just writing this.

They never knew a world before mass surveillance either.

I don't envy them and get why many want to go "analogue."

Hard to discover something that isn't there, though.

@ChipmunkErnie Generally it’s something unknown to all at the time. Not just one group.

@AdmiralPrune Maybe, it depends on what you're talking about. And often a "discovery" is really an explanation. Like Newton didn't discover gravity, everyone knew what goes up comes back down, but he explained it.
