I don't see the harm in a little self deprecating humor...

It's not malicious self criticism and I don't feel bad about myself. It's more about how I know I'm seen, how the world sees things, not my own self confidence. For me it's modesty plus humor. I wouldn't say it to others, I don't want it to be taken wrong, but I still think it's funny and I just want to laugh!

I honestly don't trust people who can't laugh at themselves 😂

I know myself really well and like myself. So I can take it. I'm not beating myself up, that would look completely different lol I've been that low before. I just want to laugh. Dangit I'm dying to laugh.

In his time, Rodney Dangerfield ("I don't get no respect") was to many the king of self-deprecating humor. It's great schtik, especially for us who can relate.
