I believe that if when they activate the electric chair.. if it should fail to activate… they cannot try again… that would give the state the opportunity to put your life in jeopardy twice.

@SW-User My understanding is that the convicted has the right to have the instrument of his execution inspected to ensure that it is in fully functional order so that his execution will not be prolonged or botched in some way. Having inspected the equipment if the equipment should somehow still fail is the convict not then exempted from death? I thought that was the law?

@Muthafukajones not at all. But if the state bungles it, undoubtedly there'd be so many delays, etc before they'd try again it would make the death sentence moot
