When Boo-Boo Learns A New Phrase He’ll Say It A Few Times….

And I know it’s just a short matter of time until he works into a conversation to use with me. He said “We live here.” Several times yesterday. Last night I dozed off and then woke up around midnight. I hadn’t cleaned their cages so was doing that before I headed off to bed. Boo-Boo got loud. I asked him to be quiet because it was night time. His reply was “We live here.” 😖 Yeah, so do people, Boo-Boo, and some of them are sleeping already.

If you starting singing his name to him - 🎶🎼🎵 - maybe he would respond by singing, too?
Maybe not sing his name - or yours for him to call you - but in a high, sing-songy voice?

@RenFur I am
tone deaf and had another parakeet tell me to be quiet when I tried to sing one time. He was a sassy parakeet too

Apparently not!
@cherokeepatti Oh my gosh. 🤣 I knew a judgy budgie once. She would yell/squawk at anyone whose voice she didn’t think was beautiful. It really hurt my younger sister’s feelings. It’s hilarious when birds make it clear what they like or dislike.
