When Boo-Boo Learns A New Phrase He’ll Say It A Few Times….

And I know it’s just a short matter of time until he works into a conversation to use with me. He said “We live here.” Several times yesterday. Last night I dozed off and then woke up around midnight. I hadn’t cleaned their cages so was doing that before I headed off to bed. Boo-Boo got loud. I asked him to be quiet because it was night time. His reply was “We live here.” 😖 Yeah, so do people, Boo-Boo, and some of them are sleeping already.

@cherokeepatti Do you ruffle his feathers a little? 😂

@Musicman Three of the four cages are on table behind the reclining sofa I sit in. I’ll reach back and point my finger at him and tell him I’m gonna rattle his cage if he doesn’t stop fussing at Sweet Pea or making loud noises. And yeah sometimes I tell him things that might ruffle a few feathers. He just sasses back at me.

If you starting singing his name to him - 🎶🎼🎵 - maybe he would respond by singing, too?
Maybe not sing his name - or yours for him to call you - but in a high, sing-songy voice?

@cherokeepatti

Apparently not!
@cherokeepatti Oh my gosh. 🤣 I knew a judgy budgie once. She would yell/squawk at anyone whose voice she didn’t think was beautiful. It really hurt my younger sister’s feelings. It’s hilarious when birds make it clear what they like or dislike.
He is a comic. LOL.
