Is it ok that I don't see a joke (I'm trying)? I see posters about marrying and having children. The Charlie posters have a lot more effort in them.

It was a reference to the movie “they live” and also the movie “Idiocracy.”
In the movie they live Roddy Piper got his hands on special sunglasses that allowed him to see life for what it really was. He would look up at billboards and see advertisements and they would say things like “obey” “ reproduce” etc
Idiocracy is the same way. It was poking fun at how “dumb” people are the ones reproducing at greater rates. (It was more directed at western society) if you look in America right now, math and literacy rates are declining across the nation.
And a person on this thread commented and said

But still keep idiocracy in mind. The intelligent people aren’t the ones reproducing. The world we are living in is a result of that

All this during an age while they are cutting Healthcare for the working class the poor and children. They are cutting food stamp benefits and any subsidies for those children but trying to force you to reproduce makes a lot of sense doesn't it

@DeluxedEdition Interesting. I heard a bit of a different narrative that it is actually the government that wants to decrease population. 🤔 Well, maybe not right now with Trump, but he's busy shaking up everything.
