Devil, n. The author of all our woes and proprietor of all the good things of
this world. He was made by the Almighty, but brought into the world by a woman.

When Eve stood at the judgment seat,
And argued for salvation,
She pleaded at Jehovah’s feet,
In sad extenuation,
That Satan, who had made them eat,
Was of His own creation.

‘‘Not so,’’ and frowned the Master’s face,
'‘That apple ’twas a sin to
Indulge in, with no saving grace.
Atone! You can’t begin to.
I merely turned him loose in space,
The world, you brought him into.’’

Eve never brought satan into the world.. He came by his Own accord..
@Adstar I haven't thought at all about my own reward
I didn't really come here of my own accord
Just don't say I'm
Damned for all time

Judas in "Jesus Christ Superstar"
Adstar · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom Judas never said that in the Bible.. Someone made that up for a play..

Not sure why you posted it?

In any case Judas in damned for all time..
@Adstar Judas was probably a fictional character. The writer needed someone to betray Jesus, so they wrote that into the story.

If Judas had repented and had been born again one second before his death, he would be in heaven now, correct?
Adstar · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom No Judas was a real person who really took 30 pieces of silver to betray Jesus.. It was prophecised many generations before in the Old Testament

Zechariah 11: KJV
11 "And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. {13} And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD."

He would be redeemed to have eternity with God..
@Adstar There is no evidence for Judas' existence outside of the Bible. He may have been a real person or he may have been fictional. The New Testament writers deliberately wrote the story to conform to the Old Testament "prophecy" they were already familiar with. If I tell my neighbor that I "predict" he will wear a red shirt tomorrow, and he wears one just to prove me correct, does that make me a "prophet?"

Thank you for admitting that you don't know where Judas is now.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom The Bible is a written record of the existence of Judas.. AND the Bible is not one book but a collection of 66 books from many different authors and judas is mentioned in 5 books.. So there is more then enough evidence of the existence of Judas..

I never said i did not know where judas is now.. I responded to your ""IF"" question.. Your theoretical question.. IF anyone repents and accepts the Atonement of the LORD Jesus they will be saved.. Thats the point i was making.. But Judas is in hell now because Jesus declared Judas lost

(John 17:12) "[c=BF0000]While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled[/c]."
@Adstar Parts of the Bible are accurate records of events. For example, there really was a Roman Empire and a guy named Pilate who was procurator of Judea. Much of the rest of it is a mixture of poetry, historically-based fiction, and rules that applied to the Ancient Hebrews but have no bearing on modern life.

The "66 books" are just the ones a bunch of Catholic priests selected in the 4th century. The Greek Orthodox church adds a few more. Martin Luther thought Revelation shouldn't be part of the Bible, but what did he know.

You really need to look into the current Bibles in the world..

The 66 book Bible is the one the Protestants accept..

The catholic religion has 73 books in their bible..

The Eastern Outhodox has 79 Books

The Ethiopian church has 84 books

And all the Bible is good for modern Christians taken as a whole not secluding anything..
@Adstar So your Bible has all 84 books?

Other than the verses about homosexuality, most fundamentalist Christians ignore the Old Testament completely.

@LeopoldBloom
So your Bible has all 84 books?
No my Bible has 66 books... I have a King James Bible..

And as for other Christians they are responsible for their own personal response to the Word Of God.. If they reject the will of God on the issue of homosexual sexual intercourse then they will have to face the LORD on the day of judgement and hear His respond to them ""I never knew you""..

If they treat the Word of God like a smorgasbord then they will soon find out The Word of God is an all or nothing thing..
@Adstar The KJV is beautifully written and a cornerstone of English literature, but the translation has serious errors. The "King James Only" movement is steeped in white supremacy and antisemitism.

Eating shrimp is an "abomination," same as homosexuality - do you avoid shrimp? What about other abominations like wearing poly/cotton clothing or eating cheeseburgers? You treat the Bible like a smorgasbord, too.

Translated literally, the famous injunction in Leviticus forbids two men from sleeping in a bed owned by a woman. It has nothing to do with sex. If you actually thought about this verse instead of parroting what some pastor told you, you'd realize that since men don't have vaginas, it's impossible for two men to have sex the way they would with a woman.

In Matthew 8:5-13, Jesus approved of a gay couple. The word for the servant, "pais" is an affectionate term for a gay lover in contemporary writing and would have been understood as such by the audience.

Just a statement.. Anyone can make a statement does not mean it has any validity to it..
Eating shrimp is an "abomination," same as homosexuality - do you avoid shrimp?
I believe eating shrimp is not good for me so yeah i avoid it.. But even if i did eat it i would trust in the Atonement of Jesus to cover everything i have ever done against the will of God.. And there are also homosexual Christiasn who likewise have trusted the same Atonement of the lORD Jesus to cover their transgressions against the Will of God.. But as i have said before there are hetrosexuals who have rejected the Will of God because they had a homosexual friend and hated Gods will in regard to homosexual sexual intercorse.. So there will be former Homosexuals who will be with me in eternity as my beloved Brothers in Christ.. While there will be hetro's who have rejected the Word of God in the eternal lake of fire..

You have accepted a false translation because it conforms to what you Want it to say.. People can twist and alter the World of God all they like.. But the Bible contains a curse upon anyone who would take away from the Word of God or add too the Word of God.. So a lot of people are cursed..
In Matthew 8:5-13, Jesus approved of a gay couple. The word for the servant, "pais" is an affectionate term for a gay lover in contemporary writing and would have been understood as such by the audience.
Again putting forward a false interpretation of the scriptures to conform it to what you wish it to say..

(Matthew 8:5-13) "¶ And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, {6} And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. {7} And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. {8} The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. {9} For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. {10} When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said [c=BF0000]to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.[/c] {11} [c=BF0000]And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.[/c] {12} [c=BF0000]But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [/c] {13}[c=BF0000] And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.[/c]"

Jesus approved of the Faith of the centurion.. Both your points that Jesus was approving of a homosexual sexual relationships and that "pais" is an affectionate term for a gay lover are false..
@Adstar Actually, you're the one twisting scripture to support your own hateful viewpoint.

Regardless, it's not important because we don't live in a theocracy, and your opinion of the Bible and what it means is meaningful only to you and the other people who share your depraved viewpoint. You may want to remember that quoting the Bible at someone who doesn't think it's divinely inspired is about as meaningful as someone quoting the Holy Piby at you.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom I don't hate homosexuals. I desire the eternal salvation for homosexuals. They have never caused me any trouble.. I am simply a Christian who believes the Word of God and thus i share the gospel and give warning of the thing GOD disproves of..

The universe is a Theocracy under the monarchical leadership of God.. And Eternity will be the same.. So while people can create a short term delusion that they are in control for a short time in their lives on earth.. The truth is they have Zero Authority..

And i don't quote the Bible to convince any dedicated anti-christ that what i am saying is true.. I often quote the Bible to show that an anti-christ is making unfounded points about the will of God as revealed in the Bible.. I do it mostly for the 3rd person who may be reading the exchange between Me and the anti-christ..

I fully understand that the majority of people who argue/ debate me online are determined anti-christs and are destined to be cast into the eternal Lake of Fire..
@Adstar What is your view of reparation therapy? This is when gay kids are abused until they turn straight. Do you think that is an expression of love for them?
Adstar · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom I know nothing about reparation therapy to comment either way.. I don't see how abuse can cause someone to change their sexuality.. It may cause them to cease engaging in their sexual activity but i cannot see how abuse could cause anyone to cease having sexual thoughts..

I have heard reports of the Holy Spirit transforming a person from one form of sexuality to another but not abuse from other human beings..

At any rate the message of the Gospel is the Way to be forgiven ones sins. How to accept the gift of salvation offered by Jesus.. it is not a message of how to cease sinning because salvation is not obtained by ceasing to sin..
@Adstar Reparation therapy is usually done in a Christian setting, for example, the largest ex-gay organization in the world, Exodus International, was based in religion. When this is done to children, the line between "holy spirit" and abuse is often blurred. Interestingly, Exodus International closed when its president, Alan Chambers, admitted that their "therapy" was successful in less than one-tenth of one percent of participants, and that he himself was still gay, despite application of the "holy spirit."

My point is that it's impossible to try to forcibly change someone's sexuality while claiming to love them. It would be like a Muslim kidnapping you and tormenting you until you stopped believing in Jesus and accepted Islam. If he said he was doing it because he "loved" you, you'd be skeptical, right? Even if he was acting out of a sincere belief.

You cannot claim to love someone while at the same time denying them their rights in secular society and expect to be taken seriously. You're welcome to view homosexuality as a "sin" within your personal religious context, but that should have no bearing on whether LGBT are allowed to marry each other, raise children, or otherwise participate in society as full citizens.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom I am a Bible believing Christian.. There is no call in the Bible to forcibly change anyone's sexuality.. So therefore the issue to me is not a Christian issue.. To me Christianity is Bible based not any cultural additions or deviations from The message of the Bible..

So i am not here to try and force anyone to do anything.. That's not my Job nor is it my responsibility..

Muslims use terror in an attempt obtain a conversion of an infidel islam..If the infidel refuses to convert then they are slain.. usually in a gruesome manor.. Muslims do this because the quran calls upon them to do this.. In their mindset if a person converts then they convert and if they refuse to convert then they deserve to be slaughtered in a terrible way for rejecting muhammad..

And yeah terror does not make one believe in muhammad or allah but it sure can get cowards to confess they believe in allah and recognize muhammad as a prophet of allah.. There have been millions of fake converts to islam over the centuries.. Brave people stand firm and accept their deaths while cowards love their lives more then their eternal lives and say what ever they are told to say..

Homosexuality is a sin. it is an abomination to God.. And the irony of homosexuals getting married when marriage was instituted by God,A God they reject is mind blowing. It's like an atheist fighting for the right to go to church..
@Adstar Many Christians disagree with you.

http://www.gaychurch.org

http://www.notalllikethat.org

Marriage existed way before Christianity. What same sex couples want is the right to enjoy the same secular benefits of marriage that straight couples have. The benefits that religious bigots like you want to deny them.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom Those who disagree with me on the issue of homosexual sexual intercourse are not Christians.. Christians accept all the Word of God.. including the verses declaring homosexuality a sin..

The government at any time could have instituted a form of Gay partnership with similar rights to those married.. Gays should not need to get married to have the same privileges as married couples..

I could not care less about what rights / privileges gay partners end up with.. But them stepping into a church and demanding that the church marries them in a full religious ceremony??? Never.. But that's what will happen and the church will come under legal and actual persecution for standing up for the standard of God from these fascist gay activists trying to FORCE acceptance of their abomination upon all people..
