My daughter when studying psychology at school decided to read the AA big book. We discussed this passage. I was identifying with all the statements accept the highlighted one.

My wife guffawed (that best describes it). "You sought out sordid drinking holes from day one you couldn't go any lower". 🤷🏼‍♂

I used to sneak out in the middle of the night and walk over to my friends house who was also sneaking out.
WTH when I think back... 😬

Oh the amount if times I literally almost died out in the middle of a field somewhere is more than I'd like to admit 😅

Most extreme thing I did was when I was seventeen, i dated a surfer and we used to sneak off to the beach , make a bonfire and go for a cheeky dip in the sea then we would just chill watching the sunrise 🌄
