It's a sign of the time.
Most of us are pretty fed up at the moment.
Work is overbearing; rents are on the rise as are mortgage repayments; inflation means you have less disposable income in your pocket and anything you [b] do [/b] buy is more expensive.
That's stressful enough but when you have expectation from those close to you determined to insist on celebrating Halloween followed by Firework night followed closely by Thanksgiving and shortly afterwards Christmas, hardly surprising that there's a distinct lack of any kind of feel good factor among folk who are just exhausted from all that's gone on this year and just want the world to stop.
Even if it's just long enough to catch your breath and collect your thoughts.

I fully agree with you picklebobble2, plus when you add what news networks want to focus their attention on every time you sit down to watch, this whole package of life becomes very much a piss off to many people when they can't do anything about what they see happening on the news. Then, add all the stuff you mentioned as well and we end up with a lot of fed up people like you said.
