Why is nobody interested in chatting unless a pic is involved?

Cuz most guys on here don't want to talk to other guys.

I understand needing an avatar, rather than a blank hollow. But pairing a face with a name and persona is not necessary for solid conversation. I never need a pic nor ask.

That is kinda weird. Maybe it's due to people not growing up on the internet? I'm pretty sure video games taught me to make friends with who a person is. Maybe if the intention is to be really close or more than friends then that sort of request fits?
