I had one, it just shattered by itself one night and blasted glass all over my living room. Had to toss my cat into my bedroom to keep her from eating the damn shards.

@Longpatrol wow, trying to eat glass shards. I had a glass plate one time and put some food on it to reheat in the microwave. Got my food and sat down to eat and then the plate, which I left on the kitchen counter shattered. My parakeet was scared and I told her it was OK, it was breaking glass. Next day I was in the kitchen doing something and she yelled “Breaking glass” like she was warning me.

@Longpatrol She didn’t start talking till her mate died. She had a tall cage and would watch me in the kitchen and ask questions about what I was cooking or fixing or whatever and I would tell her and show her my food on the plate telling her what each one was. I interacted with her as much as I could after she started talking.
