What is the funniest thing you ever heard someone say to a cop?

Once I was in a puff puff pass circle in a bar parking lot. A couple cops showed up (weed was illegal at that time). They lined us up and started asking for ID. One of the guys stepped out of line and aggressively said – you can’t do that. Do you know who I am? I’m Mike the barbers son.
That didn’t impress the cops much.

It wasn’t really funny, but my brother, who was a patrolman, told me about the time he and his partner did a wellness check on a senior who was watching her grandchild. The parent was out of town and couldn’t reach them—turned out the phone wasn’t working but they were fine.

The little girl answered the door and saw my brother’s partner first, in his uniform
