This is very relatable. I’m very humorous, and often sarcastically so. If my workplace can’t tolerate an injection of laughter, then I’m in the wrong place.
Making things funny sometimes spices up my work routine if it's not the weird cases which just come up now and then. But this is either rare or the others just don't get it properly.
I'm a healthy balance, I think. I will be friendly and participate in small talk in moderation, but ultimately I stay to myself and do not share my private life at work.

My coworkers stayed silent and the awful manager busted out laughing
I use the same level of humor/sarcasm with everybody.
On an interesting note, my idiot voice recognition thought I said starcasm, which isn't a word, and then my spell check started yelling at me. Like, wtf? This whole operation was your idea.
