Really? I usually get attacked by extremist mobs. But then, I tend to think outside the box and entertain ALL 'possibilities', which makes many people and groups assumptive, nervous and uncomfortable.

can, wants to, and can fairly well match curiosity/ntensity/interests. then yeah.

@Cherrytempt you're wrong but I forgive you.

True. That's nature, isn't it? The human mate needs to be measured up to the possibilities of a long, long life together. A sense of humour should be required too.
twistedrope · 26-30, M
As long as it's in good fun yeah.

Boyle's Law surely... the greater the external pressure.... the greater the volume of hot air...!!
helenoftroy2000 · 22-25, F

debating is different from arguing
sarahcupcake · 36-40, F
I thought... in our search for perpetual motion we were going to try to keep friction to a minimum.. maybe i got that wrong...
SmoothKnight · 61-69, M
Intellectual friction is underrated because it's so hard to find these days....
moonlightlullaby · 46-50, F
Perhaps in a good healthy debate where you're on the same respectful level and the temperature rises, but no to arguing. I face arguments all too often and it makes me wanna shrink into the oblivion..
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
Some guard it jealously and fly into a violent rage because you're better at it than they are. 🤺
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
There is nothing strange about it imho. Intellectual debate is about testing your own perspectives and biases against other viewpoints and biases; hopefully finding common ground or at least mutual respect for each other's positions.

Name calling, bullying, labeling may be friction but in no way is intellectual or productive.
It’s the sweet spot where constructive dissent, different perspectives, and "creative abrasion" push both parties to think critically and articulate their ideas better. It turns disagreements into a shared learning experience rather than just an ego contest
moonlightlullaby · 46-50, F
@DelightfulyDelectablyDelicious Wanna match energy and intellectual wit? 😏
@moonlightlullaby Thought you’d never ask 😏
