I was really good friends with a girl on here

We chatted for a long time and really helped each other I think. One day she read some of my older posts and she decided that she didn’t like me.
I miss her loads, but it’s important that I leave the posts up that make me look not so good as I want to be honest. I miss her though.

Kiddo, you’ve come such a long way and many of us here are proud of you.

It takes courage and honesty to be upfront about your mistakes and a lot of people value that.

However, and I hope I’m not out of line by saying this, but I’ve noticed you have 2 old stories pinned on your profile.
If someone didn’t know much about you and that was the first thing they seen, they might not realise that you’ve grown and changed a lot since making those original posts.

My suggestion, but would be to pin a new post about how you’ve changed and you’re not like that any more.
And if you really want others to see the old posts because you want to be upfront, then link them in the new post.

All in all, don’t beat yourself up.

Hey, thankyou so much for that. I suppose I have kept the old posts pinned as I really want to be honest about what I’ve done/who I was. They’re things that I absolutely hate about me but I want friends on here to know about. I totally get what you’re saying tho and I’ll have a think about how I can be a bit more ‘how I am now’. @Fishy

Young females are traumatized by pretty much everything. They seek out anything to be triggered over.

It would probably be best to not have bully posts on social media. Men your age are already having to walk on eggshells for the women your age. No need to give them an excuse to be triggered. Not like they cannot find something but at least make them work for it.

I do get you, but I suppose I just want to be honest on here about who I am. It really hurts when people don’t like me but it does feel lovely when people can still be my friend. @CestManan

Unfortunately we often have to lie, or at least keep some things hidden, in order to have friends, get a job, stay out of trouble...

You do not have to fabricate a fake persona like the most popular members on here do (and are eventually found out), but no need to divulge things from the past that no longer matter.

Yeah, I get you, I thought it was quite a sudden change of mind. But it was about something I did when I was younger, I posted about it on here, maybe my responses to people’s comments weren’t that nice/mature (it was when I first joined) if I’m being honest. @Beautywithin
