I’ve had friends like this. I’ve had to cut them from my life. It was a hard choice but I did it.

Is this a new thing?
Maybe she just doesn't realize it or have the self awareness to know how she comes across.
If you like her and value her friendship you just have to let her know.
I have a friend that changed and similarly talks non-stop and repeats the same stories. I cut him right off and bluntly point it out to him, he also goes off on wild tangents that have no relation to anything, when I point it out, he said "yeah that's what my wife said" 😂....sooo I reduced my time with him including texts...I think he's getting the gist...

You could mention it to her, she may not even know she is doing it. She probably unloads on you because you never complain. lol.

@JamesBugman she has to know
@Nebula There was a guy at work that had this annoying way of speaking, he always said Ah before he started to talk, and in the middle of sentences too. He would even get stuck saying Ah ah ah sometimes, it was super annoying. I mentioned it to him but he just kept on doing it. I would put my headset down when he started to talk after that. lol
I can relate

@Nebula 🤔maybe a touch of narcissism a case of me me me sadly from your friend . really up to you if youre prepared to accept this self centred attitude or not 🤷♂
BrandNewMan · M
Hate to say this .. but sounds like she is not truly a friend to you
YoMomma ·
Oh man
That would piss me off. If my friends don’t care about my daughter they aren’t on my team.

It's exhausting.
Tumbleweed · F
@Nebula It really does & when I try to talk & get cut off, then I'm pissed & the whole thing is just an unnecessary hassle
Nebula · 41-45, F
@Tumbleweed I have to like rudely interrupt to say anything. Every day is a new crisis she is having
Tumbleweed · F
@Nebula Exactly & it's just not worth it.

Must be annoying
Doesn’t sound like a friend to me. 🤔

@OlderSometimesWiser and thank you for saying that
@Nebula Well if that’s true, she should be open to hearing about what you need from the friendship. It would be important to her. And it sounds like it would be good practice for you to initiate that conversation.
Nebula · 41-45, F
@OlderSometimesWiser yeah, you're right
DawnW67 · F
Draining isn't it?
Offthetop · 56-60, M
Why do you bother keeping up the friendship?
PinkMoon · 26-30, F
Why are you friends with someone like that?
YoMomma ·
