Do you have a friend that is always cheerful and encouraging and doesn't want anything from you except your friendship? People like that are rare.

I have ONE friend who lives in Pennsylvania (we lived together in Tennessee for 10+ years) who is usually endlessly supportive and kind to me. She would probably be who I would name if someone asked me who my best friend was.

But we live all the way across the country from one another, so we never get to hang out in person, only via phone.
