Its due to the end times. Humanity has fallen into a terrible state in which love has grown so cold, people can not even glance at their neighbors without evil inclinations springing from within them.

Idk, I've always had a problem with it so that's nothing new to me. 😅 I can do small talks or have more interesting conversations in a sharing experiences way but I don't do those "friends forever" "us against the world" "my tribe" and touchy-feely things.

One could probably write a book about the reasons.

It just becomes too hard to trust anyone. Everyone has their hand out wanting something. So it is like even when people are polite or outgoing, you have to think, "Okay what are they going to ask for?"

People will always be into having a connection. At one time it was ads in the news papers, then on TV, now they look for that connection online. It's always been the same
This is because everything around us involves crime, murders, stabbings, shootings, people OD'ing, government corruption, phone scams, hackers. Bad people stealing your car, your house, all your money. Prices going up, wages not going anywhere, maybe you got laid off. It's all negative negative negative.. You can't trust anyone except yourself, everyone is a potential crook, even the nice ones, even your friends, they all want something.
So everyone distances themselves from each other, it's the only way to be safe.

@JamesBugman Ya know with the non-stop phone scams, what if a legit business needed to get through? It used to be non-stop telemarketers, now it is non-stop scammers.

Anyways -

Someone on here made a thread making fun of how the news is always really bad.
WW3, the sky is falling, another new ailment, etc but THEN they say, "There is some good news. There is now a retirement home for penguins".

I was cracking up because it is true.

because society is so much into the social media and whats happening around the world. people still do connect when they both decide to leave this kind of world behind and be their own kind
Coralmist · 41-45, F

Everything has become too disposable, including people.

@Punches yeah but even now it’s an issue like someone mentioned on here everything lately is negative and a mood killer
Punches · 46-50, F
@Moneyonmymind We just have to ask ourselves if whatever event that is hitting the fan is affecting our daily personal lives. Usually not.

I think the reason for so many mood killers is - yeah a lot of our lives involve the web and on the web - google, scammers, and advertisers ruin everything so that might cause some of it.
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
@Punches also true but not everyone ask themselves that question. They’d rather act first and ask questions later.
