Yes. He tried to have sex with my wife. She threw him out and told him not to come back without his wife, her best friend. They moved soon after that.

@Hanginginthere Thanks for "best comment."

@exexec

You have a good woman for a wife.
exexec · 61-69, C
@calicuz The best!

many times.
until I realized that I was their close friend, they were not mine.
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@nonsensiclesnail I like how you put that
@Hanginginthere I dont like to go into things because it means I have to think about it. but truly, sometimes friends make mistakes. Some are not friends. They dont always know it. Better to create distance with people who dont care about you then to bother explaining it to them.

Two people come to mind. One was my very best friend for several years. We were always texting, talking on the phone and hanging out, and one day he quit talking to me. I have no clue why. Same with another good friend who was a guy, only in that case I think it was because he was in love with me and I was not interested at all and had to keep turning him away. He finally blocked me. I'm so hurt by those two friends that I no longer allow myself to get close to anyone at all. I prefer to be alone now- can't get hurt that way.
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@Mardrae sounds like the first guy ghosted you you must have done something wrong and as for the second guy he sounds very immature

I was told I was not a ‘forever friend’, after having spoken nearly everyday for two months.

That really hurt.

@Hanginginthere Yep.

That’s life though.

I even answered her messages in the night.

A true betrayal isn't realized until they're no longer there, and you never ever see them again.

If you guys are fighting because of a lie, that's a little more mild. So long as there's open communication, there is a possibility to hash things out, there's a possibility for explanation and closure.

I don't believe trust exists, but I also don't believe it needs to exist, all it ever seems to do is get broken.
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@SnailTeeth smart way to put it
calicuz · 51-55, M
All of them. 😞
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@calicuz wow all?
calicuz · 51-55, M
@Hanginginthere

Yes, not one is left.
MaryDreamilton · 46-50, F
Friends do not betray each other where I come from, or they will face social ostracism for life.
@MaryDreamilton but they do on here. Be careful.
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@MaryDreamilton no friends are perfect you do realize this right?
MaryDreamilton · 46-50, F
@Hanginginthere Maybe not, but we accept each other's differences with a live-and-let-live attitude.
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
Does serving me baked potatoes with eyes on them count?
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@JohnnySpot yeah that’s gross
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@Hanginginthere What about leaving the phone on when I'm unaware someone else is listening in, even though it's not done with malice?
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@JohnnySpot also yes
Raaii · 22-25, F

Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@SimplyLogicalDiscipline what happened exactly?
Yes and even my own family
I'm still not comfortable talking about it. Suffice to say, an entire community tore itself apart over what she did.
empanadas · 31-35, M
I was in a coma because of someone I once called a "friend".
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M

@Hanginginthere I kept him out of trouble, even spoke to the cops for him(!). But word got back to me(from an unimpeachable source) that he was accusing me of all kinds of things that made me look selfish and egotistical...which is funny because HE is that way, tips the DSM-5 narcissist scale bigtime. It fills in lots of the gaps and least begins to explain his strange behavior.
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@uncalled4 one of the reasons why I don’t like people
