I cut her out of my life 15+ years ago after realizing she didn't respect me and my opinions.
However, she did send me a heartfelt letter a couple of months later appologising for everything she'd done wrong in our friendship.

Also; my mom and oldest sister hate her. Probably bc she's always been true to herself and never backed down.

Help me decide, please.

Was her apology sincere? Did she acknowledge exactly what she had done and expressed what she had done to change. If neither of these were present in her apology, I would say no.

@HootyTheNightOwl she's straight and doesn't know I identify as a man. Even tho she never raised an eyebrow or asked questions when I was my male self around her at times.

@LordBarbossa I don't think male selves are as obvious as we feel them inside.

She might have seen you go from wearing dresses and skirts as you tried to force yourself to conform with the gender you were assigned to your more comfortable style now - but it's easy to put down to a change in tastes... it's not like you went from wearing normal clothes to going everywhere dressed in a clown suit... that would certainly attract attention.

You didn't sit her down and reveal to her that you are a man, so she doesn't know that way.

With that said, it's possible that she could be hiding her sexuality because of society's attitudes towards non hetero people. She wouldn't be the first or last closeted lesbian/bisexual woman.

@HootyTheNightOwl I was never a feminine person, nor fond of dresses or skirts.

When I say she let me be my male persona without questioning it, I mean she literally called me by my male name and referred to me as a gay male (never in an inapropriate way tho) or her male friend.

One more try. It might work out

@Degbeme Have tried. Been in touch with the mom as explained in my last post
The letter sounds very nice
Only if you've gotten over whatever happened before

Only if she deserves it.
