No. It's one thing I say something out of frustration and it's quite another if someone else does. Not acceptable.
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
It depends if they know me well enough to know what they're talking about.
Umile · 41-45, F
No respect to them, means no respect to you.
cerealguy · 26-30, M
Heck no
I almost fought someone over that one day
Dude was tryna play it off as a joke and it doesn't fly to attack the image of my loved ones like that

If they have a good reason to, sure. Unconditional love is a really strange concept, especially for people you didn't choose to become part of your life. If people harm you in any way, you are allowed to speak up, especially if they are the ones who forced you into their life.
And if others agree, they are welcome to speak up about my parents too.

No, that’s disrespectful.
melissa001 · 51-55, F
No. Cause my parents were decent people. My 1/2 brother talks about them every so often but I ignore him because he's never lived with us and has no right to an opinion. Too bad I can't kick him out of the family.
latinbutterfly · F
Nope, especially considering that my mom is an elderly widow and I frequently worry about her.
wackidywack · 22-25
Only if I've done it first and more than a few times

No, I would not. My father was a boy scout leader and my mother a substitute teacher in the town where I spent most of my childhood, and I heard quite a bit of criticism, of both of them. I NEVER liked the boys or girls who said such things to me.
Torsten · 36-40, M
no not at all

It depends on the situation and what I've said about them. If they're just being disrespectful, no.
JustBeforeMidnight · 36-40, M
They probably heard the bad things from me.
SW-User

NerdySoph · 26-30, F

bijouxbroussard · F
Never. But nobody who’s actually known my parents would have anything bad to say.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
Well my parents are shit but no I wouldn’t
My Dad died when I was ten in early 1981, anyone that talked bad about him became my enemy. However, anyone that talks bad about my mother knows her true character.
