No. People suck. I don’t mean that in a facetious way but people, I’ve found, are inherently selfish.
I have to work hard to be open and welcoming when my natural reaction is to be closed off and suspicious.
Having a dog helps and you know what? I’ve actually made friends at the local art supply store!
Try talking to EVERYONE you come in contact with. I comment on what people buy at the grocery store. I ask people what they are going to create at the art store. Don’t worry about being a dork—that’s my issue! Keep in mind that people will respond positively or they don’t and you move on to the next person!
