Making Tall Feel Small

Im told that small people sometimes get a littke freaked, when tall people, stand next to them. Personally im 6 foot 1, which is pretty tall for women. A friend of mine is 6 foot 5, so he's used to being tall and feeling tall. Until two twins stood on either side of him. They were both 6 foot 8. Only 3 inches taller, but to my mate that 3 inches was huge, he felt like they were towering over him. This was the first time in his life that he ever felt short

I remember once being on a through flight, sitting near a galley door and where commissary was replenishing supplies. The commissary worker was tall, like close to 7 feet tall, and when he stepped in board, ducking to clear his head, the flight attendant went bonkers over his size. Like asking his height, suggesting he must have been a great basketball player, commenting how he was even taller than her 6'6" husband. The commissary worker mostly deflected her questions and comments, politely saying he wasn't into sports, but otherwise seemingly amused by the attention which continued until he departed and closed the door.

Being extra-tall draws attention, and expectations of being a basketball player or something else related to sports. Also making it difficult to blend for a tall person who may not be comfortable with the extra attention.
I think it hits even harder on you when you're very used to things being the other way, being somewhat to significantly taller than most people. it did for me, at least.

Can relate to this. I am totally not used to looking up at people, is weird.

@NativePortlander1970 7 foot 4 you are. In proportion you will be. Number you will give to familygirl and nudistsueaz. But balance to your force you must bring
