why don't my friends I knew yrs ago have an interest in seeing me?

I moved from where I used to live a month ago. I spent a lot of money on movers and the train to get here. I lived here yrs ago and had a lot of friends here. I had filled out something with housing and I couldn't stay where I was cause I couldn't sleep nights cause of trains and loud music from neighbors. I was looking forward to seeing old friends here, I've only seen one so far in church but she don't go every WK, she just went the one time in months just to see me. I got an apt here so I'm not homeless or anything. its just that I feel like I got ripped off. I thought it would be fun to be with old friends and go to church with them but I've only seen one in the month. I've thought of going out more on my own but I haven't been feeling the greatest myself, I have swollen legs and feet and I found out they were from blood clots, the doctor I saw here I showed him my legs and I got sent to the ER. I also have a small one in my lungs. I'm taking blood thinners for a month and hoping it goes away. haven't even told my friends about it, not going to if they don't seem to care about me. I'm starting to regret moving here. I enjoyed it here a lot yrs ago, wondered if I should just go somewhere else. I'm not broke so I have the money to do it, any suggestions?

I think they're calling it the internet. Nobody visits anybody anymore these days. Times have changed
@Jayciedubb Maybe for you it's enough, or that is how you roll.

Times always change; that doesn't negate our intrinsic need for human connection and contact.

(Unless you are a cyborg/AI. Actually, even Data emulated humans :) .)

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON you jump to a lot of conclusions. Yet you offer no other likely possibility for the shift. If what you're saying is true then what is indeed happening wouldn't be happening.

What if our whole purpose was to invent AI. And now we're to the point where we can slowly start tapering off the amount of people it takes to run the world.

I should have opened with a statement of affirmation. You're right. We are social creatures and we do need to interact. But ask yourself, are you getting as much social interaction now as you did in the 90s if you were alive back then? We can still meet that criteria and still be declining I know this because that's what we are doing

Today is Friday before Memorial Day weekend. Take a look at the freeways. 20 years ago they would have been full of trucks hauling boats and motorcycles and four wheelers. I just came back from my son's graduation and I didn't see one boat being towed to the lake or river, or one truck full of dirtbikes on the way to Pismo Beach, or wherever people ride dirt bikes these days. To me it doesn't seem like they write them anywhere anymore cuz I haven't seen any in a long time
