Is it really that bad to only have associates and no close friends?

It is what it is.
I think we miss the connection of a good and close friend but if we don't have that ...
There is no stigma to it.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. In fact I believe that’s how it is in adulthood for most people…. You’re lucky if you can keep old friends from high-school or college still around in your life. Other than that mostly all new experiences in adult life will gain you acquaintance after acquaintance. Enjoy it for what it is. I suppose over a long length of time you could gain closer friends out of the acquaintances you meet, but it takes time.

I go through phases where I feel I must be living life wrong because every well-being anything ever written tells me a good life requires socialization. But I’m generally at peace. 🤷‍♀️ I think we can just let ourselves be content. 👍

I only have a few close friends. But its not easy for me to meet new people. Hell its not easy to even make new associates

Close friendships are one of the best things in life so it is a shame to miss out on that

Make the best of what comes you way
Don't over think it as that will drive your crazy
