Can male and female stay friends without crossing the boundaries?

I never intend to become anyone's significant other, however, some people often misconstrue friendship and take it to the next level. Do we need to carry a placard signs daily with "friends only" written on it.

I've done it with two men. 56 years one was my best friend ever. The other is still living and we've been friends since we were 9. 65 years. No lines crossed.

Yes. It will only happen if both let something happen. If each other are in happy relationships with other people then there might not be even any interest there.

There is no "next level" above being friends. Friendship is a higher relationship than romance or love are.

@BlueMetalChick @Random1Thoughts It really is. I told him last year I had an issue with this "friendship", which at the time is all it was. Lol. I just knew it would turn into an affair.
