Can male and female stay friends without crossing the boundaries?

I never intend to become anyone's significant other, however, some people often misconstrue friendship and take it to the next level. Do we need to carry a placard signs daily with "friends only" written on it.

@BlueMetalChick Not in my case. After 17 faithful years of marriage, my husband had a friend which turned into an affair. So it's just mine. Maybe in a year I'll think differently.

@BlueMetalChick @Random1Thoughts It really is. I told him last year I had an issue with this "friendship", which at the time is all it was. Lol. I just knew it would turn into an affair.

@SW-User I've always had the opposite problem. All my relationships have dissolved into something more akin to a close friendship.
