Bourbon, usually in an Old Fashioned, if I am going to drink hard liquor. It is a pretty rare occasion. Jameson's is the only Irish whiskey I have had and I wasn't impressed.

Honestly, I just have more experience with bourbon so I'll go there but I haven't really tried a ton of Irish whiskey which I've also enjoyed.

I like Jamison if having whiskey. Its a good mix with ginger ale.

I don't know the difference. I don't even buy those.

Bourbon, because of how and how long it's aged.
It really doesn't have as strong a sourness that any whiskey has because of both.
BTW Hennessy the distillers of Cognac have a limited edition of bourbon. Mostly because of how smooth bourbon is.
Yet are not even considering any whiskey.

Bourbon has no taste, it seems to just be produced industrially, whisky (Scot’s) or whiskey (Irish) have different flavours depending on where and how they are made, how long they mature and how much malt is included.

@MethDozer Though Im not really into Burbon, what you say is most likely true.Ive known some pepole who were Burbon fanatics, and they tell me many of the upper-level brands have as much depth snd complexity of flavor as any Scotch or Irish Whiskey.

I don't drink alcohol any more, but when I did, I used to enjoy 7 & 7's. 7-up and Seagram's 7 whisky. Truth be told, if it's not mixed with something, I can't stand the awful taste.

I like Irish Whiskey, though I don't drink it very often. I don't think I've ever tried bourbon.

My all-time favorite whisky: Kilchoman "Machir Bay"

Hard to find so any vintage will do!

Bourbon usually comes off to me as a bit too sweet, but I usually prefer Scotch to Irish whiskey anyways.

I prefer Scottish, but thats what I was brought up on
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@V00doo Scottish is pretty good, particularly a nice single malt. Irish is a bit smoother, but Scottish is a bit more smokier to me.
@basilfawlty89 I like the smokey flavour, and peat. Do enjoy a little smooth Irish too :)

@basilfawlty89 SOME IS.
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
Depends on the mood, but I need to try more upper tier Irish. I tend to prefer scotch.

@Fukfacewillie I would recommend the 10 year and 15 year Bushmills single malts. They are particularly 👌 good.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Fukfacewillie FYI:the 10 year is a personal favorite of the Bushmills Master Blender.
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
@DavidT8899 Love it! I will definitely try it thanks.

I'm from Kentucky, so it's "Kickin' Chicken" for me.

Irish whiskey. Erin go bragh!
caesar7 · 61-69, M
Bourbon for me!! It's simply the flavor. But, I won't refuse an Irish whiskey neither!!!
MethDozer · M
Eh, hard to say. I go for bourbon more often but both are quite nice. One doesn't really replace the other IMHO.
