What is your favourite tea?

I am referring specifically to infusions, have you ever taken them as an alternative therapy, their regular use is quite effective and much less expensive than medications.

I love mint tea and whenever I'm sick I drink mountain tea from a plant called sideritis.
MrGomco · 36-40, M
@HannibalAteMeOut I drink mint tea very often, it is an excellent adjuvant to avoid nervousness and stress, it helps the nervous system a lot, could you describe the benefits of mountain tea for me? I didn't know about it.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@MrGomco it feels like a relief if you're cold, especially with honey in it and contains antioxidants. Pretty much like every other herbal tea. It's traditional for me cause it's a thing in my country and people collect it from the mountain, let it dry and boil it. I also love the aroma, it's unique.
helenS · 36-40, F
My favorite is rose hip tea. I don't have to pay for it, there are many wild roses where I live. I don't think it has therapeutical effects, but it's really refreshing!
MrGomco · 36-40, M
@helenS If the benefit is refreshing, perhaps it has properties against dehydration and fever, that could be its benefit.
helenS · 36-40, F
@MrGomco It contains a lot a vitamin C too. I really like it.
Although I prefer Italian-style coffee such as Lavazza Qualità Rossa 😋

helenS · 36-40, F
@whowasthatmaskedman Twinings English Breakfast is excellent – although I drink it in the afternoon, with my sister; she's a big fan. And her self-made pastries are incredible. 😋
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@helenS Yes it was.
Eyeinthesky · 56-60, F
Jasmine tea and green tea..
WillaKissing · 56-60
I like herbal and spice teas as well as green tea. But I have not used them as an alternative medicine.
MrGomco · 36-40, M
@WillaKissing Personally, I usually drink tea only for its benefits, it helps me a lot.
WillaKissing · 56-60
@MrGomco The same with me especially at night when I want to relax and rest peacefully.
MrGomco · 36-40, M
@WillaKissing that's the reason why I drink tea hehehe 🍵
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
I am not a tea drinker, but when I do, I like to drink flavoured tea.. Something like berries flavoured tea or orange tea would be nice..
My favorite tea is the one thrown through the sink. What a digusting drink. Can we talk coffee now? Black no sugar
Tanoos · 41-45, F

WandererTony · 56-60, M
Sorry I don’t know much about infusion. Or even what it means. To me Tea means Darjeeling. I prefer first flush. Or Golden Orange Pikoe.
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@helenS oh ok. Darjeeling is black tea. So I guess I am not into infusions.
Thanks for the info. ☕️🫖
helenS · 36-40, F
@WandererTony You're a connoisseur! Darjeeling tea is highly aromatic, with an intense blend of flavors. I usually prefer plain black tea (English Breakfast or something like that). In fact I'm more of a coffee girl, but my sister loves tea, so when I visit her, I can enjoy a cup of tea and some of her self-made pastries.
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@helenS Thanks. I belong to a land where almost everybody is a tea lover.
Each tea garden of Darjeeling has its own flavour. Vacations in the tea garden resorts can mean more than 10 cups a day. It’s complimentary from the tea estates. 😊
But home made pastries are your privilege. We rarely have it here. 😀

@MrGomco ahhhh..I am taking ginseng tea but it is not very good😞
MrGomco · 36-40, M
@revenant What happens with that tea, is it not as antioxidant as they say it is?
revenant · F
@MrGomco the taste is not that good and I prefer tinctures anyway if you talk about strength.
Pennyroyal tea, had it once. Since its green tea that I find at market to be my preferred tea.
