Our favorite is Cherokee Casserole: Cherokee Casserole
1 to 1.25 lbs. Ground Beef
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 small cans Tomato Sauce
¼ (or more) cup chopped Onion
1 cup Minute Rice
Thyme
Oregano
Grated Cheddar Cheese
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Brown the ground beef in a large sauce pan or skillet. Drain grease. Add mushroom soup, tomato sauce, and onion. Season to taste with thyme and oregano or other seasoning (such as Cajun seasoning) as desired. Stir in one cup Minute Rice.
Pour mixture into a casserole dish and place grated cheese on top. Cook uncovered in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
