Chicken teriyaki cooked on the grill
Zucchini & onion with butter salt & pepper cooked in foil packets cooked on a grill
Marinated veggies, combo of canned or frozen like peas and fresh veggies, small chopped and marinated in vinegar, water, a bit of sugar and seasonings.
Strawberry dessert made with Strawberry Jello, made with hot water and then cooled down with 2 cubes of frozen sliced strawberries, when it gets set add a loaf-size angel food cake cut into one-inch cubes and let set till firm. Serve with whipped cream.

@Ella97 try some of those dishes. I’ve also made what I called a Candy Bar Ice Box Cake. Bake a cake mix in a rectangle cake pan…let it cool, poke holes in it and mix up pudding and pour over the cake. Let it cool and add a layer of whipped cream or cool whip, top with a chopped candy bar. Cover with plastic wrap tightly and keep refrigerated. It’s the kind of cake that is refreshing in the summer and everyone comes back for more. You can choose whatever flavor of cake, pudding and candy bar and make it a bit different each time. Good to have on hand if people come to visit.
