@WateryLasagna no, i like a little finely chopped onion. I don't like beef on pizza. Salami or pepperoni is nice though.

best beef topping I've ever had is where it's crisp on the very top

underneath Ham and Salami
middle layer Mozzarella
on top Pepperoni
garnish on the cheese and pepperoni - Seasoned Ground beef

you get enough of the pepperoni and cheese on top crisped up

the key is having italian salami with a lactic tang on the bottom or just pepperoni and salami and italian sausage under the cheese

for ham and pinaepple with tons and tons of mozzarella, then bacon can work as a garnish
but it can be tricky to be the proportions right

onion on a ham and pineapple is interesting though
