one thing i really miss is pancakes

before i aquired diabetes type 2 i would eat pancakes a lot, i would love putting chocolate spread on them too as well as lemon juice and sugar...i just wish they could find a cure for diabetes so i could eat them again.

Mmm during an intense dietary cleanse I discovered celery root. I've spoken about it again here and perhaps others don't find much comfort in it.....but I did !
Celery root is like a ball in shape and you can cut it in slices like a circle, resembling pancakes and pizza.
It's not pancakes or pizza.
But it did help me a lot this food.
I'd apply on top a variety of toppings and I used to be very happy with my comfort food.
I have uploaded a couple of pictures but I'm not sure if I can find them because they're pretty back hidden in my library... I'll try.
My sympathies..... 🤗

@being the big problem is there is to much money involved to find a cure. There is a problem when you stick your finger 3 times and get three different readings. Better yet you get a big drop of blood take three meters and get three different readings with as much as 40 points difference.
Meters are built with components with as much as 20% tolerance. An electronic circuit is designed within 10% so our test equipment is only somewhat accurate.
I have been treated for type 2 for 30 years. The side effects of some of the medicine is terrible. Medicine is supposed to make you better. I have only gotten worse.
Maybe we need to listen to people like RFK jr as start looking at the chemicals they are putting in our food. The chemicals our meds are made from. Big pharma needs to stop lining their pockets and find the reason and a cure.
Bring on Denny's pumpkin pecan pancakes please.

I've been diagnosed with that as well. But I don't think that being diagnosed with that means a death sentence for never eating that type of food again. Just in moderation, not for breakfast every morning.

I have a friend here who also has that condition, and, like you, he fantasizes about foods he should not eat. Let's just say that THINKING about a food, a lot, that you should not eat, is NOT going to help you.

Try to get your mind onto other things.

The pancakes are fine . . just skip the chocolate spread and sugar.
