Costco chicken is a good deal. They lose money on it.

If you can volunteer at a food pantry and tell them your situation you can score some groceries that way I’m sure.

Store bought Peanut butter is the poor mans food. High in protein, and keeps for a very long time.

No so, however, if freshly made from scratch. That could even kill you after a week in the open.

I always have a store bought container of peanut butter around.

Lentils and rice are good, if you have a little chicken or boullion or broth to add it’s even better. You can make pilafs from rice using different types of meat and veggies too.

Rice, corn and beans. Together, corn and beans form a complete protein, and rice is VERY cheap...cheaper than noodles, and helps to fill you up. Buy DRIED beans...which are cheaper than canned beans.

Soup beans and cornbread . can be had fairly cheap 👻 good luck to you . 🤞
Peanut butter. It's good even in saimin.
A little brown sugar, curry and peanut butter in a saimin is very nourishing and tasty.

Get eggs. Bread. Meat. Potatoes. Oranges. Butter. Oil.

Eggs you get every vitamin except vitamin c so eat an orange afterwards.

Bread. You can make french toast with egg and bread and butter. Meat and bread to make sandwiches. Potatoes and butter for dinner. Or cut them up and fry them and make fries.
@ScarletWitch welcome back and hope you are doing well

I knew an American deserter who fled to Canada to avoid being sent to Vietnam. He said when he came to Canada he had no money and no job so he survived on what he called Pine Floats. He would go to a restaurant and ask for a glass of water and a toothpick. He would add a bit of ketchup and drink it.

You can make a bunch of spaghetti for cheap or chili as well.

Beans and rice. Dirt cheap and the dried stuff lasts forever. Mix in some sausage in and it’s tasty.

When people don’t have money to eat, it makes me feel so terribly hurt. 😞
