What is this white stuff in the picture? I have heard rumors and read stories of such events in history. I am told by the elders in the community that temperatures must be below the warm 85 degrees that we have here for such a historic event to take place.... hahaha

@Miklee02 i didn't say "warming!" Climate Change altered all aspects. Look at excessive rain and counter that with excessive drought. I do worry about excessive cold and snow this winter. This isn't a political statement, it is climatology!

Yeah, the earliest snow her in NYC has been October 19th (until a few years ago it had been 10/21 for a long tine).....so mid-October is about the soonest possible time for the first snow of the season.
Right now it's in the 50s and raining here.
