McDonald's made over $8 billion in profit last year. Their average worker makes about $12 an hour.

That's around $25,000 a year if you're lucky enough to get full-time hours.
Meanwhile, their CEO made $17 million. That's 680 times what the person actually flipping the burgers earns. They've got money for stock buybacks. Money for executive bonuses. Money for shareholders.
Just never enough money to pay the people doing the work. Where does all the profit go if not to the workers who made it?

You should quit your job at McDonald's.

Not bad for starting out as a way to sell more multi-mixers.

The staff at every franchise agreed to the wage they earn. Most McDonald's are independently owned franchises so the corporate CEO's bonus structure has very little to do with the individual locations. And the corporate CEO deserves a huge bonus if he is indeed forcing every employee to work ther, his arms must be exhausted pointing a gun at that many people 24/7

@Ken4family read the comment. Also, you haven’t answered me. What do you know at your age?

8B is not that much for a whole chain .. instead of wasting your time envying others wealth you should work a lil yourself to build your own.. be responsible eh? Nobody is forcing anyone to work for McDs

@GoFish you’re not addressing the issue, I’m not jealous of wealth, I am describing an injustice!

@Ferise1 Open your own franchise and make more money, cut staff and increase wages - and prices will increase and possibly less sales
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@NeddyKelly nonsense. You’re just enabling the rich. It’s socialism for the rich and poverty for everyone else.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@NeddyKelly and if I open my own franchise, I’m gonna pay the workers as the deserve

In modern economics, rewarding the already rich and the idle shareholders is apparently the route to prosperity. While rewarding the workers is a sure route to perdition.

@Ken4family what do you mean no such thing? I just stated a fact.

All the profit goes to the share holders after they have paid their corporate taxes on the profits for the year. Buy some stock
NeddyKelly · M
How much money did each employee invest in to the local franchise

The franchise owner is taking all of the risks not the worker
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@NeddyKelly you’re an enabler!
