McDonald's made over $8 billion in profit last year. Their average worker makes about $12 an hour.
That's around $25,000 a year if you're lucky enough to get full-time hours.
Meanwhile, their CEO made $17 million. That's 680 times what the person actually flipping the burgers earns. They've got money for stock buybacks. Money for executive bonuses. Money for shareholders.
Just never enough money to pay the people doing the work. Where does all the profit go if not to the workers who made it?
