Candy They Don't Make Anymore

My mom loved weird candy. Have you ever had those marshmellow Circus Peanuts? horrible.

How about orange slices?They are like orange gumdrops but in slices.

Chocolate covered cherries? love those things.

Mary Janes that took your teeth out

She loved teaberry gum too. Just reminiscing....

I liked the orange slices. One of my favorites was the black cow caramel bar. It was disconitued but is back. I haven't tried the new ones. I still get a box of chocolate covered cherries every Christmas from my wife, continuing the tradition from my childhood. My father once removed all the candy and replaced it with small rocks. I was shocked! Then he gave me the real candy after eating a few pieces.

My mother used to give me a big tin of Mary Janes every Christmas. I begged her to stop after spending $1700 on a new crown to replace the one I pulled off and crushed.

They still do Orange Slices and the green Spearmint ones too. I was just in a store today selling them.

Those fake peanuts were just nasty. LOL.

@akindheart It can make you so sick you are confined to a recliner chair till you jump up and run to the bathroom and you’re whole day is shot when it’s at it’s worst. I also have a sensitive to sugar alcohols and monkfruit apparently. One batch of muffins or a waffle sweetened with it triggers my digestive system badly and it takes days to heal up.

My wife lets the first ones get stale and loves them. Yuck. The orange slices are Ok and a MJ now and again is a taste I enjoyed occasionally but have not had in a long time.
